Solicitation N0042118Q0011 is issued as a sole source. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with EMS Development Corporation for Filter 4X3AMPS 12VDC P/N: RF15786A & Filter 2X 25A 150VAC 60-400HZ P/N: RF08412P, under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 13.106-1(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However the Government will consider all proposals received prior to the closing date and time of this solicitation. EMS is the sole source for these and they do not have authorized distributors or resellers. These fileters are custom manufactured parts for the AN/UPX-24(V), CP-1273/UPX-24(V) Control Processor which have been formally environmentally tested and certified as an assembly for shipboard installation.

Offerors must be registered in SAM.GOV database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.SAM.gov.

This is a firm fixed-price procurement; therefore, the offeror's initial offer should represent the vendor's best quote in terms of price and technical acceptability.
