This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-49 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20110120. NAICS is 334119 and the size standard is 1000 employees.
This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside.
This solicitation is for the purchase of (42) forty-two Rugged Modular Enclosures. The minimum salient characteristics the government is requiring are as follows:
1) Dimensions of the frames are 2.00(h), 5.117(L), 5.983(W), 1.339(h), 5.117(L), 5.983(W) and 0.67(h), 5.117(L), 5.983(W).
2) Frame is a machined aluminum modular enclosure acting as a heat sink.
3) Frame delivers performance from -40 to +85°C without a fan.
4) Frame should be made out of Aluminum Alloy 6061 Chemical Composition Limits (%) - Silicon 0.4-0.8, Iron 0.7, Copper 0.15-0.4, Magnesium 0.8-1.2, Chromium 0.04-0.35, Zinc 0.25, Titanium 0.15, and Aluminum comprises the remainder.
5) The modular stack-through design of the pc 104 architecture allows you to add additional modules or upgrade existing modules as technology or requirements change.
6) Extremely versatile, this heat-treatable alloy combines good weldability and formability, high corrosion resistance, and medium strength. Yield strength is 40 ksi (40,000 psi). Hardness is 95 Brinell. Melting range is 1080° to 1205° F.
7) A standard off-the-shelf product consisting of any PC/104, PC/104-Plus, or PCI-104 board mounted in its own frame and wired to the standard PC connectors on that frame, thus eliminating the need for module-to-module wiring inside the case. This solution maintains PC/104's modularity and lets one configure a system as rapidly as one would configure a stack of boards.
