NNSA-SC/OBS, Albuquerque NM intends to award a sole source purchaseorder to General Dynamics Office of Chief Information Officer (IM-12), Needham, MA 029494-2606. The objective of this effort will be the delivery of two each TACLANE Micro units with maintenance, four each TACLANE ETU-59102 Encryptor Micro Units with maintenance, and six each MC-106A TACLANE KG-175d Rack Mount Shelf Kits. NNSA-SC/OBS has determined that General Dynamics is the only firm capable of providing this product and related services as the products required must be compatible with the existing system. This procurement is a Small Business Set Aside, and General dynamics is not a Small Business under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 334119 with a size standard of 1000 employees. Accordingly, NNSA-SC intends to conduct this sole source procurement under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), and no other sources will be considered. A public solicitation will not be available. This notice satisfies the requirement of FAR Part 5 for publicizing contract opportunities. Firms wishing to challenge the sole-source decision must submit a letter of interest, referencing No. 52-2008-NA-28836.000, to NNSA-SC demonstrating the firms ability to provide the equivalent items as described above. Firms shall also indicate whether or not they are a small business, small business women-owned, small disadvantaged business, or and 8(a) small business concern. Interested parties must provide rationale, including pricing, why they should be considered.
