The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a
sole source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Contract (ID/IQ) with Rolls-Royce Corporation, Indianapolis, IN. The anticipated ID/IQ is for the procurement of engine spares for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 16.504(b)(ii)(B)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
