The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Cost type modification to an existing sole source contract with General Electric (GE), Lynn MA, for support of T408-GE-400 SDTA engines.  Support of the T408-GE-400 SDTA engines includes project management support, non-recurring engineering, integrated logistics support, peculiar support equipment, training, spare parts, and scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to support the T408-GE-400 SDTA engines. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10,U.S, Code 2301 (c)(1), as instructed be the Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 6.302-1, only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
