This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to Alliant Techsystems Operations LLC (ATK), 4700 Nathan Lane, Plymouth MN, 55442-2512 for support of FMU-139D/B fuzes and accessories for the U.S. Navy (USN), U.S. Air Force (USAF) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. The Government contemplates a five year ordering period.

The proposed action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. ATK is the sole manufacturer of the FMU-139D/B Fuze,and as such, is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, experience and the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government's requirements for support for the FMU-139D/B fuze and accessories.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible interested parties may submit a capability statement, which will be considered by the agency. Unless stated herein no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. The Government will consider all information received by (include date 15 days after posting). A determination by the Government not to compete these efforts is solely within the discretion of the Government.
