FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source (except brand name)
The U.S. Military Academy, Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), West Point, NY award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to integrate additional components, and extend existing EOC Visual Tele-Communication throughout DPTMS Antiterrorism activity and present a common view. The Justification and Approval is attached.
This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals.
The proposed contract is for integrate additional components, and extend existing EOC Visual Tele-Communication. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
The Mission Installation Contracting Command - West Point on behalf of the United States Military Academy (USMA) Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility, and Security (DPTMS) intends to award sole source, firm fixed price contract to (Technical Operations New York, New York) for integration of additional components, and extend existing EOC Visual Tele-Communication.
The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811213 Telecommunications Service & Repair with the associated size standard of $11 million per year.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet all aspects of the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
