Synopsis - Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award

This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.203 in response to the mandatory requirement for a 15-day notification. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the United States Air Force's (USAF) intent to award a Firm Fixed Price, sole source purchase order to United States Bomb Technician Association; 1759 E Easter Ave, Centennial, CO, 80122-1309 for the purpose of providing funding for the Air Force Explosive Ordinance Disposal community to attend the 2019 Eastern National Robot rodeo in Charleston, South Carolina, 11-17 Aug 2019.

The Government intends to award solely with USBTA per FAR 13.106(b)(1), as no other source will satisfy agency requirements. This event is hosted and organized by the USBTA and is the only organization that does do annually.  There are no alternative events or organizations for this effort. At this time, there are no opportunities for competition for the SAF to attend this event. The USTBA is the only organization organizing and hosting the 2019 Eastern National Robot Rodeo.

The NAICS code for this acquisition is 611430, with a size standard of $11M. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition is based upon responses is solely at the discretion of the Government. No solicitation package will be issued.  This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations.
