The United States Postal Service (USPS) seeks a quality-conscious company capable of manufacturing LCD touch screen panel computers. The E-Touch is a generic state-of-the-art controller, for use within postal facilities to help fulfill wide-ranging application needs at low cost. Its robust construction incorporates embedded components to eliminate moving parts, keeping power consumption low, prevents overheating, withstands vibration, and endures harsh environments. The company which provides these items will have extensive successful experience manufacturing similar items. That company may be required to provide up to 2,000 computers at the rate of 125 per week beginning in the Spring 0f 2010. The supplier shall design, manufacture, package and deliver the E-touch based on the USPS Technical Design requirements. These requirements can be found in the statment of work (SOW). Only those suppliers who wish to be a prime contractor need to respond to this announcement. Each must also fill out the Prequalification Request and return it by the deadline.
