The purpose of this notice is to enable the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) to obtain preliminary information about businesses that are capable of performing a contract of this scale.
This notice is not a Solicitation and it does not seek the submission of formal binding proposal. In the event that DOT determines that these services will be procured, a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued.
The purpose of the attached Statement of Work (SOW) is to acquire support from a contractor(s) with a nationwide program to transport, store, and/or dispose of property in the custody of the U.S. Government. Services will be performed by a contractor(s) and subcontractors in the United States and its territories and protectorates, including, but not limited to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.
The NAICS code for this effort is 493110, General Warehousing and Storage.
The anticipated period of performance will be five (5) years inclusive of a one (1) year base period and four (4) one year option periods).

After reviewing the draft SOW, interested parties shall submit the following in response to this RFI:

Responses to this RFI shall not exceed 5 pages including past performances and resumes.
