The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of VRC intends to negotiate an Other than Full and Open Competition an order for 500 vials of EXPi293 Expression Medium reagent with Life Technologies. 5971 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA, 92008-7313. Life Technologies is the original manufacturer (OEM) of the reagent. The Expi293^TM Expression Medium is a chemically-defined, serum-free, protein-free medium for growth and transfection of suspension-adapted human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells. It is specifically designed as a core component to support high density cultures of Expi293F^TM cells in the Expi293^TM Expression System for scalable transient protein expression. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who can show capability to produce this reagent may submit a proposal with a statement of capabilities to indicate product specifications and past performance producing the same or similar reagents. All responses will be considered. The Government reserves the right to make a decision whether to this requirement is available for competition.
