The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of VRC intends to negotiate an other than full and open competition an order for a quantity of 20 kits of the Expifectamine Transfxn Kit 10L with Life Technologies. 5971 Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA, 92008-7313. Life Technologies is the original manufacturer (OEM) of the kit. The Expifectamine Transfxn Kit allows for the high density growth and protein production when used with specific cell lines using the 293Expi components. This is not a request for proposal. All responsible sources who can show capability to produce this reagent may submit a proposal with a statement of capabilities to indicate product specifications and past performance producing the same or similar reagents. All responses will be considered. The Government reserves the right to make a decision whether to this requirement is available for competition.
