This is a Notice of Intent to award Single Source Firm Fixed Price contract to Expo Group, L.P., located at 5931 Campus Circle Drive W, Irving, TX 75063-2606 under the basis of authority of FAR 6.302-1 for booth rental services to include (1) Carpet Service, (2) Cleaning Service, (3) Electrical Service, (4) Furniture & Accessories, (5) Material Handling Service, and (6) Storage.  Only one Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements for the United States Marine Band performances and activities at the world's largest musical convention "The Midwest Clinic held at McCormack Place West in Chicago, IL.  The Midwest Clinic is the world's largest and most prestigious music convention.  It provides a showcase for military, college and high school bands.  The convention provides the band with the opportunity to present information to potential candidates for enlistment, and to educate the public about the Marine Band's history and mission.  The period of performance is 14-16 Dec 2016.  This sole source award to Group, L.P., is being processed solely for the purpose to enhance the band's recruiting potential by increasing awareness of band's history and mission, and to enhance the public affairs and community relations programs of the Marine Corps. A determination has been made by the Government to use other than full and open competition for this acquisition. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all vendor capabilities received within 5 days after date of publication of this notice of intent. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
