The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to extend the current contract (DTFACT-11-D-00009) with Visual Systems Group, INC (VSGi) of McLean, VA. This extension will allow for the continued purchase of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) equipment for a period of three (3) months. The purpose of this extension is to allow for a continuation in services so the FAA can complete the current competition for a new contract for this requirement. The FAA is currently processing a new Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies (SAVES) Video Teleconferencing contract (DTFACT-16-R-00041).
VSGi is the current provider under contract DTFACT-11-D-00009. This contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment (SAVES) Program. This contract provides simple purchasing of VTC equipment for the FAAââ¬â¢s CONUS and OCONUS locations.
This is a sole source requirement to VSGi as they are the only current provider of the above products under the FAA mandatory source SAVES contract. The follow-on contract for this requirement is currently in the pre-award stages.
The extension to the VSGi contract will service as a bridge contract consisting of one three (3) month period. The bridge will serve to avoid any interruption in services while the FAA completes the current competition for a follow-on contract.
