The purpose and intent of this contract is to secure services for pre-commercial thinning of approximately 534 acres of conifer reproduction, approximately 21 to 28 years old. All items are on west Prince of Wales Island, in the Staney Creek area. Prince of Wales Island is part of the Thorne Bay and Craig Ranger Districts, Tongass National Forest, Alaska. The approximate mileage from Thorne Bay to Staney Creek area is 31 miles.

The performance period is 133 days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about May 25, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation R10-05-05-21. Telephone requests will not be honored.

Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. AUTOMATIC NOTIFICATION: By registering to receive notification on posted synopses, you will be automatically notified via email of any changes to the project.
