This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for mulching 80 acres on the Cleveland National Forest, Palomar Ranger District. The project requires a mulching machine to work on steep slopes of more than 40%. Grind and chip standing brush leaving no more than 6 inches standing. Chipped material should be of a consistency of no more than 1 foot in length left on the ground when completed. Contract time is 5 weeks. Estimated start date November 2004. OFFERS ARE DUE BY 12:00 NOON, LOCAL TIME, SEPTEMBER 8, 2004. NAICS 115310 SBA size standard $6.0 million. Quotations should be bid on an hourly rate for the machine and operator which includes time under hire(time under hire does not include breakdowns and repair work). Hours worked will be verified and approved by the COR on invoices submitted by the Contractor. Payment will be of actual time worked under hire.
