The solicitation for this project shall be posted on the FedBizOpps website on or about 15 days from today. It is the purpose of this solicitation to contract for technical forestry services to conduct stocking examinations to evaluate the current status of regeneration. These examinations are normally taken where data concerning overstory trees is not needed. Data from the stocking exam provides detailed information about stocking levels, species composition and distribution of trees (stocked vs. nonstocked plots). This information is used for monitoring and certifying reforestation activities. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary. The project will be located on the Ashton/Island Park Ranger District of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. The estimated start date for this project is September 26, 2005.
