Set Aside for HubZone Small Business.

The purpose of this contract is to secure services for pre-commercial thinning of approximately 852 acres of conifer reproduction, approximately 15 to 19 years old. The project area is located on the Tongass National Forest, Ketchikan-Misty Fiords Ranger District in Southeast Alaska. The project is divided into three areas on Revillagigedo Island. Area One is approximately 35 air miles to the north on the isolated Shrimp Bay road system. Area Two is approximately 25 air miles to the north on the isolated Margaret Bay road system. Area Three is approximately 15 air miles to the east-northeast on the isolated Shoal Cove road system. The performance period is 185 calendar days.

The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about April 12, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation R10-05-05-10. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
