The Flathead National Forest will be advertising a Request for Quotations for Moose Road Decommissioning - 2004. The project consists of reclamation of approximately 6 miles on four roads located on the Glacier View Ranger District, Flathead County, Montana. Items of work include stake location; construction of road closure earth berms and waterbars; removal and disposal of culverts; stream restoration; and seeding and fertilizing of worksites. Additionally, importation and spreading of riprap, erosion control blankets, and straw wattles are required at each culvert removal and stream restoration site. Issue date, May 7, 2004. The Notice to Proceed will be issued approximately July 1, 2004, with a completion date of August 31, 2004. Pre-bid Tour will be held on May 19, 2004.
