NATIONAL FOREST STEWARDSHIP INTEGRATED RESOURCE SALE SOLICITATIONBLACK HILLS NATIONAL FOREST The North Bearlodge Stewardship Sale is located within T.54N., R.62W., Sections 17, 20; T.54N., R.63W., Sections 1, 2, 11, 12; T.55N., R.63W., Sections 35, 6th PM. The Forest Service will receive sealed bid offer proposals at the Supervisor’s Office, Black Hills National Forest, 1019 N 5th Street, Custer, SD 57730 at 1:00 P.M. local time on September 5, 2006 for an estimated 1,217 CCF of Ponderosa Pine and Other Conifer sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The sawtimber value is flat rate, not subject to escalation, under an Integrated Resource 2400-13T contract. In addition, this solicitation has four Mandatory Stewardship bid items: 1. Cut, Skid, Pile Ponderosa Pine 7-8.9” DBH, 2. Cut, Skid, Pile Ponderosa Pine 5-6.9” DBH, 3. Cut and Chip or Mulch Ponderosa Pine 2 foot in height to 4.9” DBH and 4. Cut and Chip or Mulch Ponderosa Pine and Oak 2 foot in height to 4.9” DBH that the Forest Service will use Stewardship Credits to the Contractor for each valid submitted bid offer. There is also one Optional Stewardship bid item: 1. Cut and Chip or Mulch Ponderosa Pine and Oak 2 foot in height to 4.9” DBH. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive bid offers submitted by bidders who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled “Instructions to Bidders.” The offers will not be publicly opened. One award will be made to the bidder whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical-price relationship is the most advantageous to the Government. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
