The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) intends to issue a sole source contract with AgDia Incorporated located in Elkhart, IN, for 240 AgDia PPV ELISA kits and 90 Durviz PPV ELISA kits including freight charges; and storage, processing, testing and retesting of approximately 74,000 PPV leaf samples from New York, Michigan, and possibly other U.S. states under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and U.S.C. 253(c)(1). AgDia, Inc. is a small business firm and the only commercial sole source provider for the AgDia ELISA kits in the U.S, and the only commercial laboratory approved by the USDA, APHIS, Plant Germ Research Facility in Beltsville, MD, and the only company with a special permit to conduct Plum Pox Virus testing. This will be a requirements with FFP, task/delivery order type contract with an estimated value of $3,242,560.00 for base and four option years. This notice is for informational purposes only.
