The 96 Air Base Wing (96 ABW), Eglin AFB, intends to offer Timber Sales on the Eglin AFB Reservation. Work will consist of harvesting all sand pine trees. There are 2 harvest units (one contract line item number –CLIN) of approximately 1,038 acres containing approximately 16,600 tons of pine timber. Harvest units are cut sand pine only in natural stands and sand and slash pine in two imbedded stunted slash pine plantations. One harvest unit (02N08) is in a “closed area” and work in this unit may be suspended during mission activity. This is notification to interested parties.
