This solicitation is a Total HubZone SetAside for registered Hubzone businesses only.<><> The purpose of this contract is to provide pre-commercial thinning services for approximately 874 acres of conifers on the Ketchikan-Misty Ranger District. The project area is located on in one area on Revillagigedo Island. The Shoal Cove road system is accessible using a well improved boat dock and passenger ramp. Landing craft and ramp-equipped small barges can offload at the nearby crush-rock ramp. The 8400 series road system from Shoal Cove is currently drivable to all items except item 1.2. One of the thinning unit requires crossing a stream and walking approximately ? mile to the beginning of the item. Approximate age of the thinning units is 18 years. The performance period is 140 days.<><> The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about February 19, 2007 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254.
