COMMERCIAL ITEM. AG-0261-S-07-0036.SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE, COMPLETE SCOPE AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE IN THE SOLICITATION. This solicitation is for tree thinning, associated slash treatment and hannd piling. The project is designed to reduce stand density and provide space for the leave trees to grow, develop and maintain or improve their vigor. Reduce the incidence of insect and disease that affect tree growth and health and improve desirable tree qualities and characteristics. The thinning and associated slash treatment work is also to reduce hazardous fuels and reduce the likelihood of uncharacteristic fire behavior on the National Forest Lands. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government furnished), and incidentals to perform all work necessary on the areas specified. All aspects of the work program shall be performed in an organized, systematic manner to assure services will be performed over the entire unit. PROJECT LOCATION: Boise National Forest, Lowman Ranger District. The Solicitation will contain the general locations of the contract units, which will be shown on the vicinity map, with specific locations of the contract units, on the individual item maps. ESTIMATED START DATE: August, 2007 with completion date of July 30, 2008. See numbered note 1.
