The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to issue an award on a Sole Source basis with The Boeing Company for the manufacture, assembly, and delivery of Thirty-Four (34) Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) end items (See below Item List) for F/A-18E/F and EA-18G Support Equipment. The Support Equipment will be used to maintain and repair various components and subsystems of the F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft. The manufacturing, assembly, and inspection of the Support Equipment shall be accomplished at the contractor's facilities. The Support Equipment shall be serialized sequentially. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Boeing Company is a prime integrator of the EA-18G and F/A-18 E/F aircraft, and the original designer, developer, and manufacturer and the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, technical expertise and technical data to provide the PSE for the EA-18G and F/A-18E/F requirements. Any other source would need to possess the drawings/technical data to be able to perform this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT POSSESS THE TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE TO ALLOW FOR A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT.
