Evicel/SurgiFlo is the only all human, aprotinin free fibrin sealant for hemostasis. The fibrin clots produced using Evicel and SurgiFlo have the highest measure of elasticity among fibrin sealants. The flexible strength of the fibrin clots are significantly higher than that of other fibrin sealants. Johnson & Johnson is the only company that can provide a full line of situational hemostats. The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the item or service is copyrighted or patented and is not available except from the holder of the copyright or patent.
