The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement for a Field Service Engineer Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) to provide on-site advice, liaison and informal training in the buildup, installation, operation and maintenance of equipment and systems related to the AN/AAQ-24(V)25 DoN LAIRCM system. The contractor Field Service Representative is to elevate the technical skills and abilities of Marine personnel for the operation and maintenance of the AN/AAQ-24(V)25 DoN LAIRCM equipment/systems to a level of self-sufficiency.

The effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. In addition, Northrop Grumman Corporation also has the skill, experience, ability and facilities necessary to successfully support the AN/AAQ-24(V)25 DoN LAIRCM equipment/systems.
