The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) is soliciting responses from registered Engineers / Architects interested in providing professional services for the following project: Georgia Diagnostic & Classifciation Prison – Fire Alarm Systems Renovation (Project No. 21-GDCP-SP-009)Location: Jackson, Georgia General Project Description: This project will involve the renovation of the Fire Alarm Systems to new, intelligent, networked systems. This renovation will affect: all housing units, administration/offices, physical plant/maintenance, medical, intake, towers, and control rooms; removing the old systems, initiating and notification devices. The design shall incorporate a construction plan which will maintain normal daily facility operations. The Owner shall provide the selected Design Professional with a conceptual plan during the design process. The scope of design services shall include preparation of schematic design and design development documents, construction documents, bidding assistance and negotiation, and administration of the contract for construction.
