USDA, APHIS, intends to issue a Request for Proposals for the design and construction of a fire alarm system for the Plant Protection and Quarantine Professional Development Center, Frederick, MD. Work will include pull stations, smoke detectors, heat detectors, horns, strobes, and possibly duct detectors. The contractor shall determine if duct detectors are required by code. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238210. The Small Business Standard Size is $14 million. The solicitation, including specifications and all other documents related to this procurement, will be available at no charge on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov) on or around Sept 20, 2011.
