1.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION / OWNER INTENT Remodel of floors C20-C23 of the Hennepin County Government Center with scope to include new insulated gyp board/metal stud walls and owner provided demountable partitions. Floor finishes of carpet, resilient sheet goods and ceramic tile. Wall finishes of paint, vinyl wallcovering, acoustic fabric panels, wood paneling and ceramic tile. Ceiling finishes of acoustical lay-in tile and gypsum board soffits. Mechanical systems to include new plumbing including supply and waster piping systems, new mixing boxes and ductwork. Electrical systems to include fire alarm, conduit and wiring, interior lighting and low voltage cabling for safety/security and data. Scope shall also include courtroom audio/visual. Demountable walls and furnishings provided by Owner, unless noted in the bid set. The Contractor is responsible for electrical and low voltage per Drawings. Contractor to allow in their schedule two weeks per floor for demountable walls installations to be done sequentially, floor by floor. Following installation of demountable walls on a floor, furnishings to be installed. Allow two weeks per floor for furnishings.
