Background:

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the nation’s medical research agency—making important discoveries that improve health and save lives. The mission of the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) is to support research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of arthritis and musculoskeletal and skin diseases; the training of basic and clinical scientists to carry out this research; and the dissemination of information on research progress in these diseases. NIAMS has a requirement for Flow Cytometry Data Analysis Software that will be used for immunophenotyping, cell cycle, proliferation, kinetics studies, quantitative population comparison, and compensation. Majority of NIAMS’ investigators use flow cytometry for further research studies, therefore require specialized software for post-acquisition data analysis on their desktop workstations and laptop computers.
