The 37th Contracting Squadron is intending to award a sole-source purchase order to A Bargas & Associates to purchase 1412 folding Tablet Arm Student Desks (Right Handed Only, Air Force Blue Seat & Back (Plastic) Light Oak FTA...Char dark powder coat frame...Improved FTA Plywood Tablet. Model # 1040ABAFTA). These desk are replacing the current worn and cloth style desks and are the only dask type that will meet the confined classroom dimensions.

This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 1 Aug 08. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The intent of this procurement is to award based on Sole Source requirement.

The Government intends to evalute and award without discussions on this procurement. The intent of this procurement is to award based on sole source requirement. Quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. The justification for this sole source procurement is to continue mission support in the training fields. A Bargas & Associates has developed this desk exclusively for Lackland Air Force Base, and this purchase is an addition to desks already purchased.
