The Loring Job Corps Center is soliciting proposals to supply the center with a market basket of food products that include meat, poultry, fish, canned and dry goods, ethnic food supplies, and paper products.
The Invitation For Bid (IFB) for Food Service package will be available on Monday, February 8, 2010, and contains all the necessary information necessary to respond.
When reviewing the Invitation for Bid Package please familiarize yourself with the General Requirements and Special Provisions to subcontract. Also, the page titles "Acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions Subcontract" must be signed and dated by an individual authorized to enter into a subcontract, and returned with the bid.
A pre-bid conference and potential center walk-through will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010, at the Center starting in the Purchasing Office, Loring Job Corps Center, Building 6550 at 10:00am. Any questions that were not answered at the pre-bid conference must be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Agent, Julie Blackstone by February 17, 2010 at 10:00am.
Also included in the Bid Package is a Food Service Agreement which is anticipated to become the final contractual document provided to the successful bidder with minor revisions incorporating appropriate aspects of the bidder's proposal. Bidders should therefore review the format and clauses of the Agreement as part of its due diligence prior to submitting a bid.
Bids must be had delivered or mailed in a sealed envelope marked "Invitation For Bid 2010". They must arrive at the Purchasing Office, Loring Job Corps Center, Building 6550 no later than 2:00 pm. Friday, February 19, 2010. Late bids will not be accepted.
A certificate of liability insurance must be provided before the award of a subcontract.
Career Systems Development and the Loring Job Corps Center reserve the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
