CITY OF FORNEY REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP 2020-007) Sealed proposals addressed to the City of Forney will be received by the Finance Department, located on the first floor of City Hall at 101 Main Street, Forney Texas 75126, until 2:00 PM on June 1, 2020. Proposals may be mailed to the City of Forney, P.O. Box 826, Forney TX 75126 or hand-delivered to the first floor of City Hall at 101 E. Main, Forney, Texas 75126. Sealed Bids will be opened at 2:00 PM on June 1, 2020. Bidders must submit with their bids a Cashier’s Check or a Certified Check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the maximum amount of the bid payable without recourse to the Owner or a proposal bond in the same amount. The contract award is contingent upon City Council approval at the June 16, 2020, City Council meeting. ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS Pump Station No. 2 The project includes, but is not limited to the following work: The work to be performed under the provisions of the Contract Documents that consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and tools; performing all necessary labor and supervision; and all work appurtenant to the removal and replacement of the existing 250HP VFD and harmonic filter for pump No. 1, remedial work of the existing control wiring for Pump No. 3, removing and replacing two 3.8HP submersible pumps in the stormwater lift station and servicing two electric valve actuators and all necessary appurtenances in Pump Station No. 2 in Forney, Texas. An additive alternate bid will include a 400HP VFD and filter in lieu of the 250HP VFD and filter. Another additive alternate will provide for lowering the new pumps in the manhole if necessary due to rails being misaligned or damaged.
