THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A QUOTE. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTES WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The Administration on Aging (AoA) through the Program Support Center (PSC), Division of Acquisitions Management, intends to make a logical follow on award to the Institutes of Medicine (IOM), The National Academies for Forum on Global Violence Prevention, 500 Fifth Street, NW., Washington, DC 20001. This award will have a base period of within 5 days after receipt of award – 6/30/2011, with two twelve (12) month option periods. Please find attached the Notice and Statement of Work in detail. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirements. The acquisition shall not exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 541690 and the Size Standard is $7.0M. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. This action is under the authority of 41.U.S.C.253(c) (1), as set forth in FAR Part 6.301-1(a)(2)(ii)(A).
