Sole Source Synopsis
This is a Sole Source Synopsis for a non-commercial end item prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) has a requirement for a 5 year IDIQ contract to produce 330 per year polyurethane (plastic) frangible spheres made from a two-part non-heated mixture of TC852 Polyurethane Resin or HapCo Ultralloy103 Resin; painted with epoxy primer coat of MIL-PRF-23377 Type 1 Class C2; and final application of Spraylat 599-B3755 paint with Spraylat 599-B4045 thinner (4:1 mixture). The Government anticipates awarding this requirement on a sole-source basis to ProtoCAD Corporation, 6390 Crain HWY Ste 101, La Plata, MD. 20646-4244, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The frangible sphere will be sent to Patuxent River, MD. Response(s) to this notice may be made via e-mail or on company letterhead: include company's name, point of contact, address, phone number, DUNS number, Tax ID, business size, and this notice number. All responses must be received by 29 August 2014 at 3:00 PM EST. Responses may be e-mailed to [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on any responses received is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no written responses received, a contract may be issued without further notice.
