This is a Single Source Posting Notification; There are no solicitation documents available for download. This posting is not a Request for Bid (RFB) nor a Request for Proposal (RFP). MNIT Services intends to purchase two (2) additional FRED Forensic Workstations with 1 RAID, SKU: F11301R through Digital Intelligence, Inc. as a single source, no substitute purchase. Although additional FRED Forensic Workstations (SKU F11301R) have been purchased on an as-needed basis, also through Digital Intelligence, Inc. the purchase price never exceeded the $10,000 threshold. The justification of a single source, no-sub is due to the SKU F11301R, FRED Forensic Workstations previously purchased through Digital Intelligence, Inc. when MNIT’s Forensic Laboratory was initially set-up, several years back. The FRED workstations were calibrated to meet the specific needs of MNIT’s Forensic Laboratory as a result of the development, workflow, validation process and procedures specifically designed by MNIT Services and this series of hardware. Although there may be other entities that sell similar products, the purchase of a substitute make/model or purchased through another entity would result in but not limited to; significant changes to the already established workflow, calibration, prove to be extremely costly and time consuming to the State, and possibly prove to be insufficient in maintaining consistency in the already established Forensic Laboratory. This could also potentially void current agreements and warranties on the previously purchased Forensic Workstations through Digital Intelligence, Inc. For these reasons, the purchase has been deemed a single source, no substitute purchase.
