The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to perform Data Collection In-theater on the CH-53E aircraft and document the current AN/AAQ-24(V)25 Missile Warning Subsystem algorithms and false alarms in order to characterize mission profiles and environmental conditions that may impact system performance. The Field Service Representative shall perform field installation of a Government Furnished Aircraft Instrumentation System (AIS) on a Government provided CH-53E aircraft equipped with an AN/AAQ-24, conduct in-theater data collection, be responsible for AIS maintenance, perform data reduction and analysis, and after completion of field test, perform a complete de-modification of the AIS equipped aircraft and return it to a serviceable condition to be verified by a Government representative.
The effort is being awarded on a sole source basis to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the equipment addressed in this synopsis and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
