The Government intends to solicit offers for the purchase of herbicides for
Woodruff/Lake Seminole and Walter F. Georgie site. This requirement includes the sole-source
procurement of the following brand name herbicides: Aquathol K
containing the active ingredient Dipotassium endothall, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This requirement also includes the procurement of aquatic herbicide containing active ingredient glyphosate and 90% non-ionic surfactant. There are only 15 aquatic

testing requirements needed for approval and registration by the EPA for
use on submerged plants. Seven of these compounds, peoxide, glyphosate, copper, 2,4-D, Fluridone, Triclopyr, and Diquat are contained in products manufactured by several different companies. The other eight are Mono-salt of Endothall, Dipotassium endothall, Flumioxazin, Carfentrazone, Imazamox, Bispyribac-sodium, Penoxsulam, and Florpyauxifen-benzyl. These compounds are available only in brand-name products developed and marketed by single manufacturers.
It is anticipated that a Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded. The NAICS
code is 325320 and size standard is 1,000 employees.
