The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District, requests letters of interest from PRIME CONTRACTORS interested in performing work on a potential design-bid-build construction solicitation for the FY16 Pkg A-003 Repair Building 155, Quad B, Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.
Project Description: This project's existing first floor Battalion Headquarters shall be repaired and remain as a Battalion HQ. First Floor Renovation will retain the existing interior masonry shear walls to suit the new layout. First floor includes demolition of existing interior walls and concrete slab, replace failing HVAC, lighting, electrical, communication, fire alarm, plumbing to support a large-sized Battalion Headquarters. Four new Arms Vaults will be required on the first floor. Structural repairs for the entire building including foundation upgrades, shear wall reinforcement and beams, columns, foundation strengthening are required to meet seismic code and facility category code upgrades from former barracks use to administrative use on the second and third floors. The second and third floors will be repaired by incorporating functional required utility spaces of electrical, telecom and mechanical rooms. All existing exterior windows and doors will be replaced with blast resistant doors and windows. Repairs will include lighting, electrical, communication, fire alarm, and plumbing. Existing light fixtures and suspended ceilings will be repaired by replacement. Fire protection and mass notification systems/alarms will be repaired by replacement or installed to meet current Life Safety Code and base physical security requirements.
Magnitude is $10M - $25M.

a. Narrative demonstrating experience similar to this project ($20M) repairing a multi-story building to include utilities.
b. Bonding capability for a single contract action at least $20M.
c. DUNS/CAGE CODE, Expiration date in SAM.GOV.
d. Indicate whether your firm is a large business or small business and indicate applicable socio-economic category of FAR PART 19.
