The contractor must perform at least 51% of work, and must be Pre-qualified Prime Contractor listed by the Georgia Department of Transportation. FY2022 CIP LMIG Resurfacing Scope: The contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and labor to complete the required Construction as described in its entirety to the specifications as directed and the terms of this contract including all incidentals as directed by the City of Sandy Springs Director of Public Works or his representative. NOTES: Bidders shall submit unit pricing for all items unless otherwise specified, all work shall be completed in accordance with Georgia Department of Transposition Standard Specifications (current edition). The City reserves the option to add or delete street segments from the scope of work. Traffic control and mobilization costs will be adjusted for areas that are added or removed from the scope of the contract. REQUIREMENTS 1. The contractor and the City will conduct a contract and pre-construction meeting prior to beginning paving. The contractor and the City will discuss the terms of the contract as well as the schedule for the Work. The contractor shall submit a construction schedule to the city one week before the meeting. The work is to be assigned to the contractor by geographical areas unless scheduling and coordination dictates otherwise. 2. The Contractor shall commence actual physical work on the Project within ten (10) calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall complete the work of the project ready for use not later than the number of calendar days as set forth below. 3. Base Bid work is expected to begin in October 2021 and to be substantially completed within 180 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. If the City accepts Add Alternate #1, an additional 60 calendar days will be added to the contract time. If Add Alternate #2 is accepted by the City, an additional 10 days will be added to the contract time.
