The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award a (16) month sole source simplified acquisition to UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, Los Angeles, CA. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is to analyze the disparities in healthcare delivery due to racial or socioeconomic factors among a segment of the "priority population" as defined in the Healthcare Research and Quality Act of 1999 specifically, the Pacific Islanders, American Indians and Asian sub-populations such as Chinese, Koreans and Filipinos. This analyses will form a comprehensive assessment requiring pertinent data, extensive programming and analytic time to generate required tables to produce a comprehensive report.This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement that demonstrates in a written narrative format detailed information addressing their ability to meet the requirement and objectives as described in this synopsis. Capability statement may be sent via fax to (301)443-8488. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such document will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to UCLA,Center for Health Policy Research.
