The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Correctional Institution in Safford, Arizona intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of Islamic (Imam) services (NAICS 813110) for the inmate population located at FCI Safford 1529 W. U.S. Hwy 366, Safford, AZ, 85546. The Contractor will be responsible for providing services to included: instruction in the Islamic faith, pastoral leadership, counseling to Islamic inmates, pastoral care, visitation with inmates in the Special Housing Unit, leading Islamic inmates in corporate worship, prayer with the Islamic inmates. Contractor qualifications include: Must be in good standing with a recognized Islamic community and have extensive experience serving as a Imam or spiritual leader for a Islamic community. Contractor must posses an ordination certificate or like document showing the contractor is a recognized and endorsed Imam or spiritual leader in good standing with the faith community. A letter of reference from the contractor?s religious order should also be submitted, along with (2) letters of personal reference. Have a minimum of three years of documented, continuous full time experience as a Imam or spiritual leader with the faith community. Possess at a minimum a Bachelor degree from a accredited college or university. The total estimated quantity is six (6) ninety (90) minute sessions for the base period, and the four option years. The contract shall consist of a base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods with the government unilateral right to exercise each option. The number of hours per week shall not exceed thirty (30) hours.
