For providing Catholic ministry and pastoral services for Womack Army Medical Center patients, families, and staff within the framework of their religious faith, to include pastoral counseling, professional consultation, and conducting mass during the week and on Sunday morning. Period of Performance will be 1 December 2008 - 30 November 2009 with four (one year option performance periods). The services shall be performed IAW Ecclesiastical and tenets of the Roman Cathloic Religion established principles and ethics of the Catholic Priest profession, standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO), and the professional standards of Womack Army Medical Center. Qualifications: Be an ordained Catholic Priest fully accredited and endorsed by their ecclesiastical supervisors including Archdiocese for Military Service, no less than 3 units of Clinical Pastoral Education or acceptable equivalent in terms of formal graduate education, professional training and experience or a combination thereof. Certification by the National Association of Catholic Chaplains will meet this requirement. Experience includes knowledge, skills and abilities in the following areas: pastoral counseling, trauma resolution, sermon preparation and delivery, Roman Catholic law, ecclesiology, liturgy, ministrations, and marriage and family ministry.
