This VA Medical Center, Salisbury, North Carolina, is soliciting for a Temporary Protestant Chaplain for the period August 20, 2007 through March 31, 2008. Contractor will perform all duties in accordance with VHA Handbook 1111.2 Spiritual and Pastoral Care Procedures. The contractor will be guided by the practices of this VA Chaplain Service. Provide pastoral care for all patients, i.e., new admissions, pre-surgery, follow-up care, seriously ill patients, terminally ill patients, bereavement counseling, pastoral counseling for patients, families and staff.
