This is a COMBINED SOLICITATION/SYNOPSIS for commercial items. This Solicitation/Synopsis was prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number N00259-13-T-0427 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Salient Characteristics:
• Count Method - Choice of 10 second averaging or 10-second cumulative counts.
• Binary Pitch Mode - A single button activates the binary pitch mode. Once baseline is established the probe only beeps at threshold levels.
• Program mode - Allows for adjustment of sound volume, audible beep rate relative to the gamma counts, choice of count method and current battery life.
• Enhanced sensitivity for surgical oncology applications.
• Optimized side and background noise reduction.
• Battery operated/battery life display.
• Compact, cordless, and lightweight, able to be placed and used in sterile covering allowing it to be used during sterile surgical procedures, needs large onboard LCD display.

52.212-2 Evaluation- Commercial Items (JAN 1999). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose confirming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Evaluation factors in descending order of importance: 1) Technical Capability, 2) Delivery Schedule, and 3) Price.

The following factors to be used to evaluate offers: Technical Capability, Defined as ability of the products to meet the salient characteristics needed. Delivery Schedule. Defined as, lead time necessary to receive the product. Price. Technical capability and delivery schedule, when combined, are significant evaluation factors that will be most advantageous to the Government. Contractors who do not meet the first 2 factors will not undergo a price evaluation.
