The National Naval Medical Center, (NNMC) Acquisition Management Department, Bethesda, MD on behalf of USNS COMFORT (T-AH 20) for the main operating room intends to award a sole source procurement to Olympus America Inc. for a Gastroscope and accessories.  (URGENT REQUIREMENT) The proposed contract action is for  supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate w/only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive bids.  A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Governmentr.  Award will be made using SAP.
