Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced purchase order to Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, Ca 94404-1128. Applied Biosystems is the only vendor that has the technical expertise, capabilites and authorization to make this equipment based upon the CDC recommendations. This is the only know vendor that makes and markets the 3130xl Genetic Analysis system. Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Naics code 334516 and size standard in number of employess of 500 is applicable to this order. Delivery date is on or before 4/14/2008. Shipment will only be accepted Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST with the exception of Federal Government holidays. The following items are needed by the Division of Bacterial Diseases (NCIRD/DBD):

The best way to complete this certification is to download the FAR Clauses (Volume II) at: http://www.arnet.gov/far, print out the clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification, and fill in the appropriate blanks. Quotes will be due June 23, 2008 by 8:30 AM EST at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Acquisition and Assistance Branch B; Attn: Maria Shamburger; 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341. An anticipated award date of June 23, 2008 is place. All responsible sources that can meet the above requirement may submit a quote, which will be considered by the Agency. All vendors need to be registered in the Central Contracting Registry (CCR) prior to award of a Federal contract. The preferred method for completing registration is via the World Wide Web at http://www.ccr.gov. A handbook and other information are available at the website, including information on how to obtain a DUNS number, which is required to begin the registration process.
