The Department of Veterans Affairs; Network Contracting Office 10, 2780 Airport Dr., Suite 340, Columbus Oh 43219 is seeking to purchase the Genexus Purification System for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).  The Molecular Diagnostics section of PALMS requests Genexus Purification System, which is a dedicated front-end nucleic acid purification system capable of extracting DNA and RNA sequentially from the same oncological specimen. Once combined with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) system Genexus already purchased by the PALMS, this integrated system will enable specimen-to report NGS automation and ensure tracking of sample and run-plan information to the final report. It will facilitate efficient workflow with minimal human error and prevents contamination. It has the potential for FDA approval as it is manufactured in an FDA-registered and ISO13485-certified facility. Advantages of this integrated NGS system include flexibility to diagnose and determine optimal therapy for solid tumors, hematological malignancies, microbiology cases, and inherited disorders. This NGS system will allow us in-house testing, decrease turnaround times, reduce cost of send-out tests, and improve service to our veterans.
