Description
National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) plans to procure, on a sole source basis, with Genomatix Software, Inc., 3025 Boardwalk, Suite 160, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48108, for the following equipment:
• Genome Analyzer/Software and Hardware (includes license and 1-year maintenance service contract, for NGS data analysis).
This acquisition will be processed in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500 employees.
Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm-fixed price type contract.
This equipment will provide a powerful platform to systematically compare gene expression profiles during development and in the presence or absence of thyroid hormone receptor. The user license and user-end-server allow us to upload genomic data from the NIDDK Genomics Core facility. We can then use the program to analyze genomic sequences from both RNA-seq and ChIP-seq Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) raw data. The program can also be used to identify promoter sequences in potential target genes in various metabolic pathways. One of the unique features of this equipment is that it has fully automated workflows for Ch1P-Seq and RNA-Seq expression NGS experiments that are completely integrated with the platform's database content and multiple downstream analysis applications (see attached for additional information).
This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the NIDDK to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein. An original and one copy of the capability statement must be received in the NIDDK Acquisitions Branch on or before 11:30 AM EST on May 18, 2015. Electronic capability statements (via e-mail) will be accepted. All questions must be in writing and can be faxed to 301-480-4226 or emailed to Lisa Josephowitz, Contract Specialist, at [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to receive an award, contractor must be registered and have valid certification in the System for Award Management (SAM). No collect calls will be accepted.
